true but if you live out side the M25 belt, inspite of companies 99%
coverage claims, some areas will be dead on O2, going back to wales sa's
iphone was with out connection, both at my folks place, the house we
still own in wales, the two Pubs we stopped at. a little dispointing, O2
used to be BT/cellnet didn't they? used to get something years ago on a
old phone, though not much it has to be said, and to be fair t-mob had
no 3G connection for most of the places we stopped.

Ah, OK. I was under impression that for example T-mobile hotspot access
can be bundled with your contract?

<looks>

With the Web n' Walk plans (if I read it right) you can get unlimited
[1] Wi-Fi access via their hotspots:

[1] Fair usage applies. The more you pay the more 'fair' it is ;)

I think Richard pointed out that the coverage claims are percentage of
population, not geographical area.

Not that that helps when you're in the 1% :-(

Cheers,

Chris

Those apply if you have a 3G USB modem + plan.

If you are on a Pay Monthly phone contract (excluding U-Fix), you can
pay 10GBP rather than 20GBP for 'Unlimited' access to T-Mobile HotSpots
(and 300 mins at BT Openzone). Or you can have limited use added to your
phone bill instead. See

So they do. Sorry, my bad. I /do/ find all these plans and add-ons very
confusing.
