The Mini has a 'shuffle songs' mode that sure sounds like randomization
to me. I haven't seen a nano yet, but I'd be surprised if it didn't
have the same feature.

Note: Like all iPods, the User's Feature Guide for the nano
is available as a pdf on the Apple website...

It's a menu option on the nano. You can do it by song or by
album. Could have sworn it would also shuffle by playlist but
I must have imagined it.

I've already decided I like it better than my shuffle...
though a protective cover would have been a nice accessory to
have been included...

Apple does make incredible innovative products, but I think they really
should slow down...I-Pod, i-pod mini, ipod shuffle now the nano!
Oversaturation sometimes can really end up as a failure.
I have a blue ipod mini and thats more enough for me ...gotta try to
fill it up now.
