From: Andrew Rossmann on 28 Aug 2008 16:49 My father recently bought an iPod Nano and installed iTunes 7.7.1. Whenever iTunes started up, his network-connected OfficeJet 7310 would crash and cause iTunes to lock up. All of the lights would flash, and the display would sometimes show some error code on a blue screen. Hitting power would 'reboot' it. Luckily, only the one computer uses the printer, so I changed it to the USB connection, and it is working fine now. Has anyone seen something like that before? I assume it's something with iTunes searching for media devices and sending some commands that causes the printer to crash. All software is up to date. I have to assume the firmware is also up to date, as I remember it being updated shortly after he bought it. I didn't find anything obvious on the HP knowledgebase or Google. For reference, the computer was a laptop running XP SP2. Everyhing is connected through an old D-Link DI-514 router. -- If there is a no_junk in my address, please REMOVE it before replying!
