I rarely use iTunes, but I've ripped a CD today, and was just about to
transfer it to my iPod, when I noticed a strange thing in the 'Source'
column, there was a heading called "Lewis's Limewire Tunes", clicking
on this gave a list of 30+ songs which I do not have on my HD, but they
are available remotely, and disappear when the wi-fi is turned off.

How did this come to be shown here?
Is this a security risk?
Thanks
Alan.

Sounds like a neighbour has an open WiFi network and is running library
sharing on his computer.

No risk to you, so long as your network is locked down with allowed MAC
addresses.

Or, he's on Alan's network, and this is the first Alan knows of it.

Ahhh, yeah, that makes more sense actually.

Time to password protect the wi-fi network then I think. There have been
times when the net has been real slow recently, I put it down to poor
service, but if someone is piggybacking onto me, I'll have to do
something about it.
Is there any way of seeing if anyone is tapping in?
Ta
Alan.
