I'd love that... for everyone else... I can only speak for myself, but I think I know the spelling of most of the words I write, especially in my own language, Swedish. Still I do a lot of spelling errors, but these are in most cases just a result of things like hitting the wrong key and things like that. It would be very frustrating to spell a word maybe ten times just because my fingers slipped... but if the feature is possible to turn off, why not? ------=_Part_2370_2732617.1200694168859--
From: "Mike White" on 18 Jan 2008 17:59 I don't know about you, but I would rip the thing out by it's roots = within a couple of hours. I can spell, but my wife cannot easily. From: Jean-Christophe Helary on 18 Jan 2008 22:36 An alternative idea is to use the spellchecker as it is and instead of having it enter the correct spelling, type it oneself. I do that and it works... :) Jean-Christophe Helary On 19 janv. 08, at 07:58, Mike White wrote: > I don't know about you, but I would rip the thing out by it's roots > within a couple of hours. It might even help to make OOo more a part of some schools' curriculum. IMO however it's a secondary consideration, but ... "future users" could be a big number.
