Hello,

I saw the announcement for the new iemobile. Can anyone project a release
date for this? I do not believe it's in the current WM6.1 emulator is it?
Will the new iemobile truly be able to handle ActiveX controls like the
desktop version of IE 6? Thanks in advance.

None of the announcements I have seen mention anything about ActiveX
support, but there is no way it will support the same ActiveX controls as a
desktop browser because it is based on a different OS and processor
architecture. The announcement said that we would see devices shipping with
the new browser before the end of calendar year 2008.

Peter,

Thanks for the reply. I saw in an article that MS was going to release it
sometime in October to manufacturers so I was curious if MS had plans to
release an emulator image for developers around that time as well.
