From: D Pingger on 14 May 2008 01:16 In 2003, I'm updating data using an excel spreadsheet but for some reason, the %complete value doesn't import back in. Is there something I'm missing? I use the import wizard and mapping. Help! TIA DPingger
From: JulieS on 17 May 2008 13:42 Hi D Pingger, What other data are you importing? It may be possible that you have data being imported which conflicts with the % complete. For example, if you try to import % complete but also import actual and remaining duration, the percent complete field is going to be recalculated by the actual and remaining duration values. Percent complete = (actual duration/duration)*100 I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along. From: D Pingger on 17 May 2008 18:23 Thanks, Julie. Nope, the only thing I'm importing is a number that goes into Number9 field, a date that goes into Date9 field and the % complete. For some reason, it imports the other two but ignores the %complete value. Any ideas? Thanks DPingger "JulieS" wrote: > Hi D Pingger, > > What other data are you importing? From: D Pingger on 17 May 2008 18:50 Hi JulieS, I tried just importing the % complete field (deleted the other two fields from the file) and it still wouldn't do it. Hmmmmm. I'm way stumped now. Help!?!?!?!?! DPingger "JulieS" wrote: > Hi D Pingger, > > What other data are you importing? It may be possible that you have > data being imported which conflicts with the % complete. If it is just a number, (i.e. 60 for 60%), Project will not recognize that format and will import 0%. However, if it is expressed in Excel as a percent or decimal, (i.e. 60% or .6), then it will be imported.
