Hi. All I wanted to do was install ventrilo to do some training online. I
have windows XP prof. I use Mozilla firefox as the default browser and I
thought that might be why ventrilo could not connect to the server. Went to
IE to figure out how to make it the default browser and when I go to TOOLS,
INTERNET OPTIONS, the following error message comes up: This operation has
been canceled due to restrictions in effct on this computer. Please contact
your system administrator.

I did some checking on MS about that error message and it sounds like if I
try to do the REDGIT or whatever it is to change the registry, I could really
screw things up.

Any suggestions on HOW to make the Ventrilo work under Firefox or what I
need to do to correct the other error?

Thanks!

Unless Ventrilo is an ASP.NET application,
it looks like you posted your questin to the wrong newsgroup.

Try the Ventrilo FAQ : http://www.ventrilo.com/faq.php
Also, try the setup instructions : http://www.ventrilo.com/setup.php

If you can't find resolution to your issue there, post to the Ventrilo forums :

Thank you. I will try the forums on the Ventrilo site . . . I've already
done the other suggestions.

Take care.
