From: kraut on 25 May 2010 10:24 This may be off topic here and if so sorry. I am looking for a program that might be able to search for and remove entries in the registry such as all the entries that are collecting in the context menu when I right click on the Windows XP classic Start menu button such as Scan with AVG, etc. Some of the ones there I was able to remove from within the progs that put them there but others I was not. Thanks much.

See replies to your same query that you MULTI-posted over in the microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup. Besides MMM mentioned by another respondent, there is also Nirsoft's utilities that I mentioned there. However, I'm not sure you have the expertise to be using a UI interface in the form of a utility program that is modifying your registry. First go check the options in your various programs to see if there is one to disable adding that program's extensions to Windows Explorer.
