Been searchin the web for a download to backup my program without any luck.

My first suggestion is for you to specify what you wish to download and what
you want to backup. But given the mentality associated with Windoze
users (Outlook Express is not the favored news reader on most Linux fora), my
second suggestion is for you to pay Willy Gates some more money and he will be
happy to provide you with some more rubbish. If you don't get what you want,
you probably will not know the difference anyway, or you would have been more
precise in your request.

My third suggestion, predicated on the possibility that you have
a machine running Mandrake 8.1, is upgrade to at least Mandriva
2006, and to 2007.1 if your hardwarewill support it (256 MB RAM
required). There are many security vulnerabilities, bugs, and
other problems in the old software that have been corrected, and
new capabilities added.

Oh, yes, you asked for suggestions on a site. Mandrake 8.1 came with
software for making backups, so maybe you just need to look at
your own site.

No cheers!

I've read your question multiple times and can't make any sense of it.

Mandrake 8.1 is too old.

It's certainly old, but it runs in places (and supports some types of
hardware) which most newer distros (even newer Mandrake and Mandriva
flavors) can't handle properly.
