From: Padgett on 1 Jul 2008 05:40 Hi I hope some clever person out there can help me. I have a broadband cable connection with Virgin Media and Outlook Express 6 running on Vista. I have a PC & my partner has a laptop. We have separate email addresses. I connected his laptop through a router, so that he gets his email & I get mine - this worked well for some time. However, now he's getting all of mine as well as his. I wasn't getting any at all so I tried disconnecting everything and starting again. Now, he still gets my emails but at least I get them as well. I have never had the problem the other way round, ie I never get his emails. How can I get back to how it was - his for him, mine for me. Thanks Gran
From: thecreator on 1 Jul 2008 10:05 Hi Gran, Outlook Express 6 does not run in Windows Vista. You need to check your Partner's E-mail Program and make sure that your E-mail Account is not listed on his computer. If so, delete it. -- thecreator "Padgett" <padgetts(a)blueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message news:OYn8L412IHA.1428(a)TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Hi > I hope some clever person out there can help me. > I have a broadband cable connection with Virgin Media and Outlook Express > 6 running on Vista. > I have a PC & my partner has a laptop. From: Padgett on 1 Jul 2008 11:06 Sorry, my mistake. I should have said that I'm running Windows Mail. I've tried looking for my email account on his computer but it isn't listed. Any more ideas? From: Michael Santovec on 1 Jul 2008 14:41 Are both of your e-mail accounts with your ISP? If both the e-mail addresses feed into a single server account, that could cause the issue. But you should have noticed that from the start, unless your ISP has made recent changes. Windows Vista Mail Newsgroup: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail You can also get to the newsgroup via this web site: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/default.mspx There select Windows Vista, then Windows Mail. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Padgett" <padgetts(a)blueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message news:ePUEpu42IHA.1436(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Sorry, my mistake. Hi Padgett, Look to see if the problem isn't on the Web, itself, especially if you went on vacation, recently. Check your Web Email Account settings. Are your E-mails being forwarded to your partners' Email Account? -- thecreator "Padgett" <padgetts(a)blueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message news:ePUEpu42IHA.1436(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Sorry, my mistake.
