They all seem to be over in microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion.

Mostly over on the microsoft.public.* newsgroups.

I assume the main reason is, to access usenet groups like clbvm, you need a
usenet server (NNTP server) account. Many ISPs nowadays don't offer NNTP
anymore, so you either need to find a free one (I use nntp.aioe.org) or a
paid subscription to one if you want to do usenet with a newsreader
client... or go web-based with Google Groups. Microsoft offers a free NNTP,
but it's only for the microsoft.* groups.
