You may not believe me, Thomas, but OpenOffice.org has some solutions for
your requests...
=95 strike through: Format > Character > Text effects > Strike through give=

you 5 options
=95 split screen: Window > New window opens a new window with the same file
=95 I don't know what 'draft view' is (no MS on my Mac), but did you
experiment with the different options offered in View? Print/Web layout,
Text limitations, etc.

So, what's keeping you in the grip of Mr G?
