From: Erich Foltyn on 23 Jan 2008 19:29 I have spent a lot of time with electricity, from the beginning of the transistor, analog electronics, Z80 Hardware and the interface between hardware and machine code (assembler) programming. With mathematics, planetary orbit calculus, celestial mechanics, Self-HTML, Word, Excel and picture processing, Power Basic Programming etc and you underestimate the lack of possibilities here in Vienna to learn anything and get busy in a company with it. Now I am 64 and have learnt Visual Basic. For use of Power Basic for Windows I would have had to pay 100 Euro for the Power Basic and Visual Basic is perhaps more compatible with Excel etc. I cannot spend all my time for programming as other people could. -- E.F.

From: mayayana on 23 Jan 2008 23:10 You are not likely to find people willing to spend a lot of time looking over your code, but there are a lot of resources online. You can find sample code for just about anything. For instance, with the issue you mentioned above you can search Google for: image resize VB ...or whatever else you want to work on. That should turn up lots of sample code and newsgroup discussions. Then you can ask here about *specific* code problems.
