It doesn't do MP4 file types.

TCPMP however, does play MP4 :

You may also need the AAC plugin for TCPMP, which isn't available from
the official site currently. If so, search this group, someone posted
a link to it a while back.

Interesting, my ppc-6700 has MediaPlayer 10 that does indeed play mp4 files.
The PPC camera utility records videos as MP4 directly (with extension mp4)
and the media player plays them, along with other mp4s I have found out and
about.

Version info: Window Media PLayer 10 Mobile for Pocket PC. Version 10.1
Build 14352.

But IMHO TCPMP is still better at handling the video, so it may be a moot
point.
