I just installed the beta version of windows live essentials, and that's when
the error message showed up. It says:

This application has failed to start because d2d1.dll was not found.
Re-installing this application may fix this problem.

I tried to re-install it, but the option won't come up, as in, it won't
allow me to re-install Messenger or Mail (those were the only two I
installed), so I tried to go back to the previous version, but it says that
it won't install it because there is already the newer version on the
computer.
So I tried to uninstall the whole thing from the computer, but instead it
says that the Installer isn't working properly.
I would really appreciate any help and advice received. Thanks!!

Ok, try to uninstall that through third party software such as Your
Uninstaller (YU) or any other uninstaller softwares.
I think, it'll work.

Coz the uninstaller of windows mostly will not remove or delete the
registry.

So, use that other software and try to install it online.

If it still happened, try to uninstall it through safe mode booting.

Wish you luck.
