From: greatlakessailor on 2 Apr 2008 04:36 Presently running linksys wireless and would like to add a laser printer. Is it possible to connect printer via ethernet cable to wireless router? So uninformed about these matters. Any recommendations for HP printers? Thanks. RCP
From: Barb Bowman on 2 Apr 2008 04:52 if the printer has ethernet, then yes, you can plug it into a linksys wireless router. depending on the printer, there is probably some configuration you need to do. From: Ben M. Schorr, MVP on 2 Apr 2008 04:57 Depends upon the printer and the wireless access point. If your Linksys has ethernet ports on it and your HP LaserJet has an Ethernet port (or you're using an external Ethernet print server device) you can connect them. You'll want to give your printer a static IP address consistent with your IP addressing scheme in your network (probably 192.168.1.x). -- -Ben- Ben M.
