From: iliace on 17 Nov 2005 11:49 Hey everyone, My band just finished recording and mixing our new demo, and are now "beta-testing" the final masters that will go on the CD in the next month or so. Now, from what I've seen of this group's discussions, I'm probably one of the more inexperienced studio engineers here, so perhaps you guys could offer some feedback. Also, how does it sound on your particular sound setup? I know many people here have high-quality audio reproduction systems, so some imperfections we may not have detected might be apparent to you. Also, I do realize that it's a bit uneven from song to song... still working on that, too. Hopefully you enjoy it too! If not... maybe another time; we're still looking for a target audience. We have 3 of the 5 songs more or less finished, with the other two coming in short order. We readily accept all criticisms and suggestions. http://www.44lbs.net Click on the download section on the left-hand side, requires a frames-enabled browser. Thanks, - Ilia
From: Stu Nevitt on 17 Nov 2005 14:18 iliace, I do have a frames-enabled browser, but I couldn't get any of the tunes to download. From: iliace on 17 Nov 2005 17:57 Stu, There were two other people, a few days ago, that said they had the same problem. They did get it working eventually; the files are there and the links do work - it even allows hotlinks. Have you tried to right-click and save? Sorry you're having trouble, thanks for trying. - Ilia Stu Nevitt wrote: > iliace, > > I do have a frames-enabled browser, but I couldn't get any of the tunes to > download. > > Stu > > "iliace" <ilia(a)44lbs.net> wrote in message > news:1132246167.207917.224740(a)g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > > Hey everyone, > > > > My band just finished recording and mixing our new demo, and are now > > "beta-testing" the final masters that will go on the CD in the next > > month or so. > > > > Now, from what I've seen of this group's discussions, I'm probably one > > of the more inexperienced studio engineers here, so perhaps you guys > > could offer some feedback. I can either right click and save or can double click and play with the xine plug in under firefox. I'm running Linux though. I wouldn't let my Windows XP machines anywhere near the internet. They are strictly for making music. Annie

Not my kinda' tunes, but I really like the detail in the compositions and they sound really well performed. For the mix, my only comment is that the bottom end is almost non-existent. I'm listening through a Delta-66 to a pair of Event PS8's. This setup tends to sound heavy on the bottom, so ... Good luck!
