Hi there. I just purchased a Gateway Tablet that came pre-installed with
Vista. One of the biggest reasons I got a tabet was to be able to to grade my
students' papers electronically. I can not figure out how to write on
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel files other than to convert it to text
in these files. I can write with no problems on the Journal, One Note, or
Sticky Notes. Any ideas why I can't? Thanks!

Are you using Office 2007?
If so, Review ribbon > Start Inking button (far right)

In a PowerPoint 2003 presentation, click the pen in the ghost toolbar that
appears during a presentation.
