I am an Authorware person from Authorware 1.0 but recently i created a
application that was individual html pages that played a flash file that
used xml files to drive the content. TYhis was created to play in a LMS,
but the client didn't have an LMS system for this to work in. After looking
at it closer I think I can use a previous Authorware application of new
page, back page and book mark and deliver this on CD to this client.

Has any one used AW to play individual html pages in a simple page icon
layout. I am not to knowledgeable about KO's, I tend to write all my own
routines.

Any ideas?

If you want to display HTML content in Authorware, the only way to do
that is be integrating the IE ActiveX control.

Well, there is a third-party method, using Apurva's alBrowser u32:
http://www.apurvalawale.com/products.asp

The first is free but takes a bit of coding to control and customize.
The second is not free but offers a lot more control and customization
(I've never used it but read positive reports from others).

Neither solution will work on a Mac.

I did this a couple of years ago.

Using the IE Browser ActiveX is easy and free if all you are doing is
presenting the content. I combined mine with a treeview menu that was
dynamically generated in Authorware from XML. The whole thing was a little
difficult to set up, but worked very well.

If you have no need to do anything other that present the HTML pages you
should have no problem.

Consider building your own paging logic to dynamically load new pages,
rather than having a page in AW for each HTML page... that small amount of
extra work up front will save you a lot of time in development and headaches
in maintenance.

OK I feel completely stupid. I Opened the active x...for IE. Saw all that
stuff. BUt I don't see where i would put the file that it is suppose to
read. Is that in the URL location or am I suppose to have some type of
calculation after it?

Here is the structure i currently have ... the html....plays a swf file
which the content is driven by a xml file.

Can you drop me an example of one?

Thanks alot
