That's what I would do, but perhaps you want to keep your 1551 original-looking. :-) There may be U.K. power leads at well-stocked electronics stores here. Over there in the UK I'm sure they are abundant. But here in the middle of the US, all I find are 110 volt cords with US/Canada plugs. The retailers here probably figure that if I'm importing European equipment, I should be able to use their $35 step-up transformer rather than adapting it internally for a dollar or so in parts. :( James |
