From: 46587phd on 6 May 2008 03:42 Hey all, I am running into an issue when I paste text into an editable region in an xhtml file--it automatically resizes the region width (to wider), and will not shrink again. I tried just copying unformatted text, that doesn't work. I also tried resetting the width of the table cell, and that of the editable region in the property inspector, but nothing happens. Seems like if the region width is set in the template (which it is) it shouldn't change in the xhtml file that it is applied to. Right? Thanks! Paul
From: Murray *ACE* on 6 May 2008 06:38 Template regions are not layout tools. They are arbitrarily defined regions that have no meaning to a browser or to your layout. If you are seeing things happen when you add content to the page, it is because your page's layout HTML is breaking, and is unrelated to the presence of any template markup. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "46587phd" <webforumsuser(a)macromedia.com> wrote in message news:fvp24m$jiv$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > Hey all, > > I am running into an issue when I paste text into an editable region in > an > xhtml file--it automatically resizes the region width (to wider), and will > not > shrink again. From: 46587phd on 6 May 2008 23:16 Yep! I would still like to make the editable region and/or cell widths fixed in the template so they do not change under any circumstance in the dependent xhtml page, but I will give that another try next time the issue comes up. Paul

From: Murray *ACE* on 6 May 2008 12:03 Without seeing your particular page, it would be impossible to say. The answer would be in the code. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "46587phd" <webforumsuser(a)macromedia.com> wrote in message news:fvpuol$km6$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > OK, then, what can I do about it? thx > > Paul
