Lots of curves and distortions. Flash isn't a good application to make those. You can make them outside of Flash using a 3D tool, them import the image sequence into Flash. You can also make flags with a paint program like Photoshop, fireworks, Paintshop Pro etc using a flag tutorial. Animating them is a real pain that way though because you have to have the effect move around in a believable manner. I have done it before with Photoshop, but a 3D program is easier. tralfaz
