From: webacity on 29 Oct 2007 07:50 A user wants to run authorware from a pen drive. I had created a folder for the user, which contains published authorware with runtime exe. I've tested this on my pen drive it seems to work ok, by copying the folder onto the pen drive. He says he did the same. This users gets this error: "js32.dll is not a valid image for windows" He's translated this from spanish, so he must be running this on spanish windows version (if this makes any difference) Thanks in advance Jon
From: webacity on 29 Oct 2007 09:21 HI I found a thread that seems to be related to this problem:http://www.directorforum.de/showthread.php?t=51501 It seems this dll doesn't get packaged when authorware is published? I use Authorware 7 I did a search for this file and found one at location:C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Authorware 7.0 and at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\AUTHORWA\NP32ASW\AW70 I guess I can copy either one of these files into the published folder and this should work? Or do I need to get the user to copy that file into either or both of locations above? Does this mean every time I publish authorware, I need to manually include this file?
From: Erik **AdobeCommunityExpert** on 29 Oct 2007 09:48 OBP should place the js32.dll file in the published directory automatically. It is required. OBP should also place the dvd.dll in the published directory. That one is not required. I find myself deleting it often. If you're not using OBP, or OBP is not including that file, yes - you must then include that file on the same level as the .exe/runtime manually. If the thumbdrive has that file but it's not being found, likely it's corrupt (?). Thumbdrives are cool but not super-reliable yet (IME). From: webacity on 29 Oct 2007 11:22 Hi there Thanks for the reply. Just one query, what does OBP stand for. Are you referring to the standard publishing feature in Authorware thanks Jon

That's the name of the standard publishing feature. Look in the title bar of the window when you launch it :-) Steve -- Adobe Community Expert: Authorware, Flash Mobile and Devices http://www.magnoliamultimedia.com
