From: besoots on 14 Nov 2007 14:12 Hi All, I would appreciate any suggestions regarding this problem. In my Authorware piece, the RTF text in my Knowledge Object erases properly but the scrollbar remains behind until I move the cursor into another interactive area. Reviewing the message boards I came across someone with this same problem last year. I attempted all the recommended fixes (RTFErase, updating video drivers, and changing hardware acceleration) but still no luck. The scrollbar itself is not a selectable item to erase - just the rtf text itself. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try getting and installing the latest. If that doesn't work, try knocking your hardware acceleration down a notch or two.
From: Mike Baker **Adobe Community Expert** on 15 Nov 2007 16:50 I got a couple ideas. Find the item that is behind the scrollbar that should be redrawing. Check the "Mode" of that item, if it's transparent then try setting it to Opaque. If you try that and it doesn't work, then try forcing it to redraw using EraseIcon & DisplayIcon in a calc. I see you've tried video drivers and acceleration setting so if that didn't work and these things don't work, then I would try to move it off screen before erasing it. I know it's cheap hack, but it's out of sight. You can use a single motion icon to move any item by using the SetMotionObject function. From: Abysmalk01 on 15 Nov 2007 18:06 Just a thought but are you doing rtfErase(id) when you leave the page that displays your rtf object. I've noticed that it does not erase properly if you leave it up to Authorware. Jason Stewart
