From: Peter on 20 Jun 2008 21:21 I'm trying to log system security messages in the /root/secure.log. I know theres a way to do it by adding a line to the syslog.conf file but can't figure it out. I've tried adding /root/secure.log security.info but that doesn't work. The only thing maybe my system isn't generating any security messages to log. Thanks for any help, Pete

What do you think a "security message" is and what exactly is it supposed to generate in such a way that service system-log will know anything about it...? Even better - whats wrong with the defaults? |
