I would add this proviso: those who charge for a CD or DVD *should* say that it is available as a free download, but that they will provide a convenient CD or DVD for a small charge. Some time ago I posted the suggestion that a prominent notice should be posted on the web site next to the download button to the effect that "This product is free to download.
