I would like to get an excellent sound card for my home studio to use
with Sonar 7 Pro. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

John

Depends a lot on how many ins/outs you need on the card and what driver
formats you need supported by the card (gigastudio etc.).

Delta (M-Audio) Audiophile 192 is a variant from the 2496 G'Bo mentioned and
is a clean sounding card. ~$179 I have one and like it a lot.

Echo Audio's Mia (with or without midi) is annother clean card at $129 give
or take.

PCI? USB? FW?

There are plenty of cards. Internal or external?

Willing to spend?

I was thinking USB, but am open to suggestions. I currently use a
Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS.

I have that one as well - do you find it a little too hissy?

Well, I get considerable hiss from my system, but I never linked it to
the sound card. That explains it! lol
