From: Hugo Vanwoerkom on 29 Jun 2008 09:10 Hi, I posted the fact that vga=791 did not work with Debian's 2.6.25 kernel on May 12th: http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2008/05/msg01095.html Yesterday I tried installing linux-image-2.6.25-2-686 (2.6.25-6) and the problem persists. There is a bug report: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=481063 This is for the i386 architecture with Sid. On May 12th I tried 2.6.25-3. That leaves you with the option to recompile the kernel and install uvesafd or install svgatextmode which does not need framebuffers. Any comments? They all get "undefined videomode number". But the latest stable version of the Linux kernel (2.6.25.9) works w/o a problem, as did 2.6.25.3 on May 12th. So this is definitely a Debian problem, AFAIK. Hugo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST(a)lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmaster(a)lists.debian.org
