Netgear MR814. Yeah it support uPnP, windows detect it well, but... enough.
Do a fresh install, if still not working gonna exchange another modem and
check problems are from Streamyx service or my systems.

Thanks dave.

You're welcome. But do keep us informed if you manage to solve the
problem; or not. It may help others in the same position. Good luck
Daniel.

wah lao! and you still remember! it was when i just finished fresh install
my pc, simply put up a nick to retrieve postings. have been here since 1997
with couple of nick name changes. old nicks that i saw had already gone long
ago. few ppl that i remember are serial killer, chargers, wahlaoeh etc.

today asked my friend to test FTP upload at her place, work out to be fine.
so i robbed her pc back home and try out, failed to upload anything more
than 50kB. now it is either my modem or the wonderful streamyx service. i
hope it's my modem coz at least i can buy a new one. if it's streamyx side,
just gotta forget it and use 1515 to do upload.:( yeap dial-up upload work
just fine.

my icq and ftp problems are from two different cause. coz the friend that i
grabbed her pc back has icq problem, ftp works fine. a few search online
shows a lot of people having a similar problem with icq and aol (both also
from same company), most with no solution, some changed their router/modem.
i am surprise why i am the only one having problem in this newsgroup...
please drop a word if any other having a similar problem. i have at least 3
friends having same icq problem.
