I have imported an SWF (video and audio) into Director MX 2004, on playback and publishing it is not playing the video on the audio.

Any ideas?

Any chance you published your swf to Flash 9, or Flash 8 without the
10.1.1 update for Director MX 2004?

If you haven't already, you need to update to Firector 10.1. Then after
that, upgrade to 10.1.1. The stuff you need is here:
