I recall an oktava mod in one of the last few tapeop issues, but can't
it. Anyone remember the issue or have the article? I can't even
remember which mic the mod was on.

It was a transformer replacement for the ML52 ribbon. I do not recall
which issue it was from. If you do it, use heavier gauge wire than
they recommended, twist it tightly, and make sure it's solid core. You
don't want the leads to the transformer moving around at all and you
want as small a loop between them as possible.

No, Recording had the 012 mod article and more recently the 219/319
mod article. One of these days I am going to do an ML52 article as well
but it's not high on the priority list.
