I spent a lot for hours on searching internet but no video conversion program statisfy me. I would like this converter to convert: from file: MP4 file format, 1080p/50p (23 Mbit/s bitrate), AAC audio codec, 48000 khz audio, 6 Audio Channels into file MP4 file format, 1080p/50i or 1080p/25p (at least 19000 kbit/s), AC3 audio codec aud 48000 khz audio, 6 Audio Channels or 2 Audio Channels I would like to set batch file conversion process which let me convert i.e. 15 files from one to another / step by step. The best program I`ve found is SUPER Video Converter, but I had problems with converting 6 Channels from the source file, because this program didn`t let me do this. Do you know the freeware program which let me do this, by setting this parameters manualy? Please help me, I really apprieciate your help Netman

I use linux which has a conversion script (h264enc) to guide you through the mencoder labyrinth but since you are using windows best bet is one of the dedicated video forums. As a starter you can get a windows version of mencoder from http://www.paehl.de/home.htm go to open source then video convert tools. a command line to try - mencoder in.mp4 -o out.mp4 -ofps 25 -oac lavc -lavcopts acodec=ac3:abitrate=128 -a52drc 1 -ovc x264 -x264encopts bitrate=20000:nointerlaced this should give 25 fps progressive and ac3 (2 ch?) sound but there are lots of other possible options if you have the time to explore. -- rich

I find it excellent - however it may not do the advanced sound conversion formats you seek (it seems to have a very simple interface). I've not dug into it's details though - perhaps at least have a looksee... http://www.freemake.com/ -- Duncan. |
