It's hard to read, and is considered shouting here. # Is there enough scope for the DHCP server on the gateway? Check what range is configured for DHCP, and what addresses have been handed out. Verify from the DHCP log on the gateway. # Is there MAC filtering on the gateway? # Are you using the right WEP (are you using any encryption?) key? # Check the log on the gateway, see if any errors are being detected when you try to associate with it. # Where is the computer from the gateway? Horizontal and vertical distance, and relative antenna alignment, are all important. # Get something like NetStumbler (free), and verify that the computer sees the gateway, with a decent S/N ratio. Look at S/N ratio, not signal level. -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
