I currently have office xp for students and teachers on my computer.

I have purchased an upgrade to office 2003 pro.

When I get to the validation screen it tells me this:

-cannot locate a valid office on your system - please put in your cd-rom of
office

I do and it tells me that it can be found and I can't upgrade.

Thanks in advance,
Neil

Hi, Neil,

I don't believe that Students and Teachers editions can be upgraded. Check
the Office 2003 box to see what it considers eligible for upgrade.

One reason Students/Teachers edition is so inexpensive is that it doesn't
qualify you for upgrades.

A list of qualifying products s/b on the box.
also:

The fact that the Students/Teachers edition is not listed in either place is
*not* a mistake or an oversight.

Looks like you didn't read the EULA before you clicked OK. You gotta read
that fine print.
