From: bfrederi on 9 Apr 2010 18:42 I'm getting a 500 error when attempting to make a post request with urllib2 to a form with a <textarea> tag. When I create the post request with all the other post data, I don't get a 500. Just the part of the form that is a <textarea>. Is this just a coincidence, and my real problem is something else? Thanks, Brandon

It's just a coincidence. The contents of a <textarea> are transmitted exactly like the contents of an <input type=text>. My guess is that you did the encoding improperly. -- Tim Roberts, timr(a)probo.com Providenza & Boekelheide, Inc. |
