Is there anyone out there syncing a smartphone (i.e. blackberry) with their
tablet pc software for calendar, etc.? If so, which one? Is there anything
special you have to do to get it to work? When I first purchased my tablet (
Toshiba Portege with Microsoft Tablet PC software, Nov.2007) my palm pilot
would not sync and I was told that there were no smartphones that would sync
with the tablet software.
Thanks for your help.

Any sync software that works with your basic os will work with a tablet
pc...

"smartphone" has become a very generic term... can you be a bit more
specific with what your needs are?

To be specific re your question, I (and many others) sync windows mobile
pim data and files using activesync on XP tabletpc devices.

However, WMDC on vista could be a lot better ;-/

I'm successfuly syncing both my Palm Treo and Eten M700 with Tablet PC.

Everything works as expected, you just install the standard sync
software (Palm Hotsync / MS Activesync). Some vendors will tell you
their software doesn't work on Tablet PCs, but that's simpyl not true -
they don't support it, but it runs OK, as tablet PC is basically a
regular Windows OS with some additions.

Sorry about the word "smartphone" - I am obviously not technologically
literate. Just trying to find out which of the phones out there with calendar
and email capability will work to sync with my tablet - as my palm pilot
would not! Thanks.
