From: d4g4h4 on 21 Jun 2008 10:56 I have the latest version of flash installed, but the BBC's new video format only works with Safari. I get a "this content isn't available at the moment" when using Firefox. (No problems with iplayer though.) Does anyone have it working with Firefox? Keep us updated on what the issue is. Speaking as a blind user, many sites that use a flash implementation don't work with VoiceOver at all, including the BBC's IPlayer. What happens is that VoiceOver doesn't even see the "play" button at all so this locks blind users out entirely. Shame really. I wonder how easy it might be to do a dashboard app similar to "Listen again"? -- Best -James-

Keep us updated on what the issue is. If I can find it! I'm not sure what I've done (or installed) that would cause this to happen just with Firefox. I upgraded to Firefox 3 to see if that solved the problem, but it didn't. The video also works fine on Opera, which I just tried. > Speaking as a > blind user, many sites that use a flash implementation don't work with > VoiceOver at all, including the BBC's IPlayer. I've also never managed to get flash to work with my bluetooth headset, which can be annoying sometimes, as I listen to various news reports in that format sometimes, while having to move around different rooms at home... -- (*) of the royal duchy of city south and deansgate -www.davidhorne.net (email address on website) "If people think God is interesting, the onus is on them to show that there is anything there to talk about.
