From: irv on 24 Apr 2008 17:06 my friend always seems to have problems with his computer. a few months ago, the computer stopped 'seeing' the epson cx3200 which had been working fine til then. i reinstalled xp and then all was well. they have had more virus problems again and the cx3200 is unusable again. when i try to install the drivers, the printer cannot be found on any usb port i try. i really don't feel like reinstalling xp again so i hope someone has some troubleshooting ideas for me. thanks

If not, the print spooler has probably stopped. Go to Start/Run and type "net start spooler" (without the quotes) and press OK. Now are there any printer icons in the printer folder? Please advise, we can go from there. Tony MS MVP Printing/Imaging |
