Hi

I am try to install yahoo messanger and skype on my xp system.During the
installation i am getting the following errror and i am instlling software as
admin user only.

Error writing to file: c:/Porgram FIles/Skype\phone\skype.exe verify that
you have access to that directory
Installing Skype failed CODe1603
A fatal error occured during installation

Please help me to find out the solution for the above error

Are you upgrading these programs, or doing a first-time or clean install
of them?
Are you getting error 1603 with BOTH installations?

If upgrading from older versions, uninstall the older version first,
reboot, clean out your Temp folder, then try a clean install of the
program.

One of many suggestions on the Skype forums is:

Click Start> Run, type the following and click OK:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\vbscript.dll

Click Start> Run, type the following and click OK:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\jscript.dll
