The dredged-up posts of webified newsgroup articles have lousy
attribution clues. Some of them I remember reading before, and others
must have taken place during my hiatus and so I am seeing them for the
first time now. I was waiting for the one where Raid insists that he
knows Dustin Cook, but he is not him. :oD

Dustin even posted IIRC...so, I wasn't 'quiet' ready to believe that at
the time - 'as it were'. ;-)

I wouldn't know, since I don't follow the links. I look at my message
archive if they refer to something I said.

"Talking of hillbillies, whatever happened to Rafters?"

That was something I wrote in a reply to Soooge in Aug 2005. So, What
did happen to you?

Don't remember that.

Writing style/mannerisms usually give people away (I presume that's
what you're getting at!).

I allowed my ISP contract to expire (dialup, and they pissed me off) - I
then sent my computers into the recycling stream (286, 386sx, 386dx,
Pentium I, Pentium II). Spent my spare time in other pursuits -
motorcycling mostly. Trading Turing machine for touring machine so to
speak.
