You'll need to upgrade your local version of Management Studio as
Management Studio 2005 won't read a 2008 database.

You mean to say, I don't need to update any sql server 2008 odbc driver or
sql server oledb provider on client machine for connectivity!

Is it so ?

I will appreciate your reply in this regard.

Thanks and take care!
