Hi there,

I was wondering if there is some daemon, that can attach itself to
(preselected) evdev nodes and perform tasks on certain incoming events. In
particular I'm thinking here of processing the multimedia keys of my
notebook, without doing this using some programm running in my X session.

At best this was something like LIRC.

If there's no such program I'm just gonna write it myself, but I'm lazy to
the bone ;-)
