Hello and help please.

I have a fatal problem preventing me downloading any e-mail.
Using Outlook 2003 under XP SP2, I have 5 e-mail accounts defined.
I can send but not receive, getting this error:
Task 'peter(a)palmerand.com - Receiving' reported error (0x80040600) :
'Unknown Error 0x80040600' "

1. I've tested the accounts via Tools>E-mail Accounts>etc. : they pass the
test OK, but then each tested account appears in the Outlook send / receive
dialogue box with the above quoted error.
2. I've twice tried ScanPST as per MS knowledgebase article 814441 : ScanPST
ran fine but it didn't resolve the problem.
3. I copied the .PST to my laptop but the problem is absolutely identical.

Thanks for looking but I think I've fixed this.
I created a new user profile, created a new .pst for that user, imported
everything from my corrupt .pst, copied it back to me and - after the
obligatory p***ing around with getting Outlook to recognise my Contacts -
it's working fine.
I can only assume my original .pst got fatally corrupted beyond the reach of
ScanPST.
