What version of Windows and Internet Explorer do you have?

However, even though we don't have enough information, a lot of people have
had similar problems with the October round of updates and have had success
by downloading the updates and installing them manually. Here are the links
to some of the recent update files:

You'll have to verify that these are the updates that fail to install. If
they're not then go to the Microsoft Download Center and get the ones that
you're having problems with.

I'm having the same problems - error code 646. However, the files are
different:
KB973593
KB973704
KB975960
KB974561
Can you offer any insights into what I can try? Thanks

Only the same advice that I offered above: Download and install the updates
manually. I haven't had any problems with the Office 2007 updates using
that method.
