I have been able to receive & send email on Outlook Express but now getting
error code 0x8000CCC78 when trying to send. Any idea on how to fix this?

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's
e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'ggatmbsc(a)sc.rr.com'. Subject
'WSNW', Account: 'pop-server.sc.rr.com ', Server: 'smtp-server.sc.rr.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 Authentication is required to send mail
as <ggatmbsc(a)sc.rr.com>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error
Number: 0x800CCC78

Are you connected to Road Runner when you try to send as
'ggatmbsc(a)sc.rr.com' ? Is that a legit RR account?

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers. Is: My server requires
authentication checked?

Big clue here: "Authentication is required to send mail"

Check with your ISP for the correct settings.
