I purchased preprinted certificates and don't want to handwrite all the
certificates. How would I print it so that I can get it in Word in the
appropriate spaces?

The first tool you need is a ruler. You can then position text using Spacing
Before or text boxes.

Yeah, I thought of a table, but sometimes it's harder to get tables aligned
than ordinary text. This would actually be a good application of "Click and
type."
