I am using google groups to see the usenet, but it's full of spam now.
How can you guys filter out all the spam threads? I am curious.

Thanks.

Don't use Google Groups. Install a real newsreader and sign up with a
Usenet provider. eternal-september.org filters out all the spam.

Indeed. And I filter out all posts FROM Google Groups. That's the best
spam filter there is. I have other filters too, but this is the best.

It's funny how often I see people claim that in sigs responding to my
posts -- and I post from Google groups.

Your from line isn't a gmail address which is what they meant to say.
