Disaster Recovery experience (planning, recovery, RRDF). Distributed processing (inter sub-system, DRDA both client and DB2 connect) using either TCP/IP DRDA or SNA/DRDA and make recommendations. Knowledge of other databases (DB2 UDB, Oracle or SQL Server) as well as DB2 Extender is helpful. Knowledge of application languages/tools (Visual Basic, C, C++, PERL, REXX, COBOL, Power Builder and COOLGEN) is helpful. Thorough working knowledge of DB2 utilities such as RUNSTAT, IMAGECOPY, REORG, etc. Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data replication programs/tools is a plus. Work well independently and with others with minimal supervision Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, to staff and executive management.
