"Radio? Sure!" doesn't work for me because I can't maximize its window.

I contacted the program author and explained how difficult it was to see
the info in the columns and asked if he'd consider making the program
window maximizable (is that a word?), but he said he wouldn't even
consider it. He said that it would be too difficult incorporate that
feature because of all the skins that were available for the program and
how they would interpret a window maximization command.

Please, I'm not interested in recommendations for websites like Pandora
and the like, I only am interested in programs like Screamer and Radio?
Sure!.

Nexux Radio Player:

http://www.nexusradio.com/

looks pretty good. Has anybody had any experience with it?

TIA

I'm not familiar with nexus - but I know about reciva and I have a wifi
radio which uses the reciva portal as its interface with all of those
internet radio stations.

In my investigation of radio stations for my C.Crane brand Reciva-type
wifi radio, I use the reciva website to listen to stations, which must
be the way that the nexus site works.

I don't know what you mean about not being interested in Pandora and the
like - it seems to me to be all 'related' issues.

However, there is a difference between listening to a radio station
which has an internet stream (at its own site) vs listening to the same
station via the reciva portal site vs listening to the station via a
wifi radio (via the reciva portal).

Any one or more of those 3 different sources may be a different kind of
stream or they might be all the same type of stream.

I am *not* interested in websites and web services, nothing that runs
through my browser.

I want a freeware internet radio *program*.

I hope this clarifies what I mean.

I'm not talking about the streams, rather (as one would expect in this
free _ware_ newsgroup) I'm talking about a dedicated freeware program to
play streams.

HTH.

By the way, Reciva costs 1.19 AFAICT, so it doesn't look like freeware
to me. Also, I don't have an "iPhone" or any desire to install the
bloated "iTunes" app on my system.
